Hyderabad: The meeting of the newly constituted Telangana State Wakf Board was held yesterday under the chairmanship of its President, Mr. Mohammed Saleem. MIM members moved a proposal to take action against CEO, Mr. Mohammed Asadullah, which was opposed by Govt. nominees and elected members. A resolution was passed to repatriate Mr. Asadullah to Revenue Department. Mr. M.A. Waheed, Advocate opposed the decision and walked out of the meeting.
MIM members came to the meeting with preparations to level charges against Mr. Asadullah. They were demanding to take action against him and to file an FIR. They had also prepared a resolution for taking action against him. The nominated members were of the opinion that there is no provision for taking any action against CEO. If the members don’t want his services, he could be sent back to Revenue Department. The nominated members, Mr. Tafseer Iqbal, IPS and others opposed the move. It is reported that Maulana Akbar Nizamuddin and MIM MLA, Mauzam Khan had moved the resolution against CEO.
Talking to newsmen, Mr. Saleem told that the board has decided to repatriate Mr. Asadullah to revenue Dept. He further told that Wakf Board is not competent to take action against CEO.
