This luxury phone to cost Rs.2.3 Crores, delivery by Helicopter

New Delhi: Vertu the luxury brand from England has officially unveiled its new limited edition feature phone Vertu Signature Cobra at an extravagant price of CNY 2.47 million nearly Rs 2.3 crore, available through a Chinese e-commerce platform JD.com.

It is available at a down payment of CNY 1,000 (roughly Rs. 10,000), with the exorbitant price, the phone will be delivered to its consumers through helicopter.

The new edition from Vertu has limited edition of 8 units, with only one unit available in China, reported GizChina.

The signature cobra’s highlight is its 439 rubies, studded in a cobra design with two emeralds as the cobra’s eyes, also believed to include other gems as well. The signature phone designed by a France-based jewelry brand, Boucheron and is handcrafted in the UK.

According to GizChina report, the new Vertu phone features 388 different parts and has been assembled in the UK.

Specifications are not yet released but it is said to be a 2-inch QVGA display which is protected by sapphire crystal. It comes with a removable battery.

The luxury phone is reportedly bought by an exiled Turkish businessman Hakan Uzan, as reported in Gadgets 360.
