The local leadership which claims to stand by the community through thick and thin, showed apathy towards the treatment of a poor youth who is suffering from neurological disorder at Doodh Bowli. However when locals approached Congress leader Mohammed Ali Shabbir and informed him about the young man’s miserable condition, leader of apposition in Telangana legislative council Mohammed Ali Shabbir who was busy in election campaign at Doodh bowli division, immediately arrived at the residence of 25-year-old, Mohammed Akber. The condition of the youth brought tears into his eyes, and he instantly donated Rs. 1 lakh for his treatment. Mr. Shabbir also spoke to Dr. Prohit Head of the dept. of Neurology in Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences. Dr. Prohit gave the appointment on Thursday and assured effective treatment.
According to locals after undergoing an operation in a private hospital for neurological disorder, a hand and a leg of the youth stopped working and he also lost his speaking ability. Local party was requested to support but the party, which claims to provide free treatment to the poor, turned a deaf ear to the cry for help. It is said that youth’s parents have already spent 15 lakh for which they had to sell their house.
