Maha Jana Andolan for cow protection in Hyderabad

Bharatiya Gau Kranthi Manch of Telangana has demanded that the State government declare Gau (cow) as Mother of the State and constitute a Gau Mantralaya for protection of the holy cow.

 

Speaking to mediapersons here on Sunday, Gau Kranthi Manch Telangana leaders Vinod Agrawal, Jasmath Patel, Raju Das, Vijay Kumar and others demanded that the State government declare cow as State Mother and set up special machinery for protection of cows. They also urged the government to set up “cow gobar gas” plants (Methane) for use as fuel in place of petrol and diesel. They also wanted the government to make arrangements for distribution of cow milk to children below 10 years and also allot government land for protection of cows and enact legislation to award death penalty for cow slaughter.

 

The Gau Kranthi Manch leaders said they are organizing Mahajana Andolan in the city on February 21 and 22. It will be held at Kala Hanuman Mandir at Pillar No 161 Attapur under Rajendra Nagar mandal from 9 am to 12 noon. Local MLA Prakash Goud will be the chief guest. In the same evening, Maha Jana Andolan will be held at Qutbullapur Municipal Grounds, Chintal from 5.30 pm to 9 pm. G Vivek, adviser to government will be the chief guest. T Raja Singh (BJP MLA), K P Vivekananda, Qutbullapur  MLA, Hindu Vahini State Secretary Uppala Raju, TRS Jeedimetla in-charge K Hanumanth Reddy , BJP vice-president S Malla Reddy will be present.

 

Similarly, on February 22, Maha Jana Andolan will be held at Ekavaipalli village under Kadthal mandal of Mahbubnagar district from 9 am to 12 noon. In the evening, andolan will be held at Sri Prasanna Anjaneya Mandiram, LB Nagar Ring Road from 5.30 pm to 9 pm. (NSS)
