Mahmood Ali rebuffs resignation claim; denies political conversation during meeting with United Muslim Forum

Hyderabad: Deputy Chief Minister of Telangana Mohammed Mahmood Ali denied any political conversation during meeting with United Muslim Forum. He said he has complete faith in Chief Minister KCR’s secularism hence there is no question of resigning. TRS is the first and last party of his political career, he can not even think of betraying with the party, he said.

Chief Minister told that he was invited on breakfast by the United Muslim Forum, a representative of various factions and schools of thoughts of Muslims. He attended the goodwill meeting. There was no conversation whatsoever of political nature. The Muslim body apprised him of difficulties faced by the musallis in the absence of a masjid at International airport, on which he assured to talk to GMR regarding this.

Similarly the religious scholars and clerics expressed their wish to meet Chief Minister KCR on which Mahmood Ali assured to arrange a meeting with CM. But a newspaper has mentioned conversation of political nature during the meeting which Deputy Chief Minister terms as false and baseless. The report also stated Mahmood Ali as saying that TRS’ end would be like TDP if TRS ties up with BJP and KCR would be deprived of power just like Chandrababu Naidu. It was also mentioned that Mahmood Ali claimed to resign if TRS ties up with BJP. However Mr. Mahmood Ali said no such conversation happened during the meeting. Deputy Chief Minister said KCR is a secular leader and he has joined TRS only after getting impressed by the secular mentality of the chief minister. He said he will remain in TRS till his last breath and will work like a soldier.
