Telangana PCC spokesman and Urban incharge Congress Party Nizamabad Mr. Mahesh Kumar Goud told that Congress party was a secular party and it strived to encourage Muslim youth and promote their leadership abilities. Mr. Mahesh Kumar Goud was addressing a felicitation function held in honour of Hafez Mohammed Abdul Ali Arif on his appointment as President City Congress Seva Dal Nizamabad at Golden function Hall Qila Road.
Speaking on the occasion President District Waqf Committee Javeed Akram claimed that Congress always worked for the welfare of all sections of the society. He held top leaders of Majlis Ittehadul Muslimeen responsible for the current situation of the country in general and Maharashtra in particular. He alleged that Majlis leaders have a secret pact with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP. ‘Their Sherwanis have Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s saffron kurtas within’ he claimed. They sometimes join hands with Congress while at others they become TRS’ ally.
The then chief minister Y S Rajshekhar Reddy had funded Rs. 5000 Cr for the development of the city but Majlis leaders gobbled it up. When they could do nothing for the welfare of Muslims and development of Hyderabad how can they remove backwardness of Maharashtra and other states of the country, he asked.
