Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today asked officials to prepare plans for development in the wake of massive re-organisation of districts and other administrative units in the state.
Rao, who held a review officials on re-organisation of districts, said supervision of government programmes has improved following creation of small districts.
“He directed that district-wise plans should be prepared under the ‘know your district-plan your district’ programme. The plans should be prepared now for the coming 8-10 years,” an official release said.
Stressing on achieving progress in various sectors and eliminating corruption, Rao favoured preparing programmes with family as the criteria for implementation of government schemes, the release further said.
In a major administrative reform, the Telangana government, about a fortnight ago, had created 21 new districts, taking their total number to 31.
