Makkah Masjid and Shahi Masjid employees get pay hike

Hyderabad: Govt. of Telangana has decided to raise the salaries of the employees of Makkah Masjid and Shahi Masjid, Public Garden. The pay hike would be effective from 1st January this year. In addition to pay hike, Govt. has prepared a development plan of Rs. 10 crore which would be presented to CM for his sanction. This plan has been prepared by Mr. Sharad Chandra, Architect who is attending to the renovation work of Qutub Shahi tombs.

 

Dy. CM of Telangana State, Mr. Mohammed Mahmood Ali visited Makkah Masjid yesterday to review the arrangements for Shab-e-Meraj and Ramazan. He instructed the officials to make best possible arrangements. He told them to pay special attention for cleaning the water tank, repair of toilets etc. After the visit, he told the newsmen that a project report has been prepared for the repair works of Makkah Masjid which includes repairs to the roof, sound system, CCTV cameras, electrical works, water, drainage and other works. If this project is implemented, there won’t be any need for any kind of repairs for the next 10-15 years.

 

Present on this occasion were Mr. Syed Omer Jaleel, IAS, Secretary, Dept. of Minorities Welfare, Mr. Mohammed Asadullah, CEO of Wakf Board, officials of electricity, GHMC and water works.

 

Govt. issued GO Rt 95 to increase the salaries of the employees of Makkah Masjid and Shahi Masjid of Public Garden. Imam of Masjid, Superintendent, Manager and Muazzin will now get Rs. 17500. Earlier, they were getting Rs. 11500. Storekeeper will now get Rs. 15000 as against the previous pay of Rs. 8400. The salaries of electrician, Asst. electrician will now get Rs. 15000. Attenders, Supervisors and Kamaties will now get Rs. 12000 instead of Rs. 6700. The pay hike is effective from 1st January 2016. The arrears of pay will be given to these employees along with the salaries of April 2016. Govt. has released the required budget to meet these expenses.
