Man caught with old rusty knife, who entered into CM Siddaramaiah residence

Bengaluru: A man named H M Lingaraju, with rusty knife entered in the residence of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah in Kumara Krupa.

He was detained by security personnel.The CM was not at his residence at the time of the incident.

The incident took place around 10 a.m. when the man named Lingaraju hailing from T. Narasipura in Mysuru, claimed that he was a senior police officer.

When the security personnel asked him to show his identity card, he simply ignore and tried to move into the house instead.

“Preliminary investigations revealed that first Lingaraju claimed that he had come to submit a petition to the CM during Janatha Darshana. Then Lingaraju said that he was a native of T Narasipura in Mysuru. As he was changing his statements often and at one point even said that a helicopter had dropped him to the CM’s residence, he was sent for medical tests and doctors, who examined him said that he was mentally disturbed. When he was produced before the magistrate, he said that he always carried a knife with him to cut fruits while travelling,” the police officer added.

“We have seized the knife that was rusted and we are reaching his family to know more about Lingaraju,” he said.
