Ranchi: A man was today released on bail from judicial custody, nearly two months after his arrest from Bardhaman Express at Kita railway station in Ranchi district.
His release came after a local court in Ranchi yesterday granted him bail on the basis of lack of evidence against him in connection with seizure of explosives from Bardhaman Express at Kita railway station in Ranchi district on August 20 and the police subsequently making him an accused in the case.
His parents and relatives ran from pillar to post to prove his innocence in the case.
The Jharkhand Vikas Morcha (Prajatantrik) had also raised the issue in the Monsoon Session of the state Assembly and demanded his release.
