A native of Haridwar in Uttarakhand allegedly kidnapped a girl in broad daylight when she refused his proposal for marriage.
According to news published in media, the girl hails from Roorkee. Her marriage was fixed with a grocery merchant belonging to Bijnor district. She was not happy with this matrimonial alliance which her parents had arranged.
Angry with this situation, the man kidnapped her from a place near her college in Roorkee.
A criminal case has been registered against him who is absconding.
