35-year-old labourer has been arrested by Shamsabad Rural police on Monday for killing his wife. The accused, S Mohan, who was under the influence of alcohol, allegedly killed his wife Sharada, 30, at their Peddashapur residence on August 6. It is said that the man hit on Sharada’s head with a stick while she was fast asleep.
According to police he was angry as she did not cook for him. Sharada who sustained grievous head injury died at the Osmania General Hospital on August 8. Mohan was produced before a court and remanded to judicial custody on Monday, inspector Uma Maheshwar Rao said.
