New Delhi: A middle-aged man allegedly injured his wife by stabbing her during a quarrel and later hanged himself to death in south west Delhi’s Dabri area, police said today.
Hanuman Prasad (48) and his wife, Rekha (41), were having a quarrel last night. When the neighbours went there they found that Hanuman had allegedly stabbed his wife, a police officer said.
Rekha was rushed to a nearby hospital and the police was informed.
When policemen arrived there, the door of the house was locked from inside and they found that Hanuman had committed suicide by hanging himself, the officer said.
The body was sent to DDU hospital for post-mortem.
Investigation has begun and statements of Rekha and the neighbours are being recorded, he said.
