The TRS government is contemplated to take up farmers’ awareness yatras in the name of ‘Mana Telangana-Mana Vyavasayam’ to gear up the farmers to the coming Kharif season.
The programs will be held between April 25 and May 5 in villages and the Yatras will be held in the morning from 7am to 11 am. The Panchayati Secretary and Mandal Agricultural Extension officer will supervise the yatras at village level. The officers have to prepare an action plan to the needs of the farmers for Kharif season in village level.
Horticulture, Marketing, Fisheries, Power, Forest and other departments’ officials would conduct meetings with the farmers in villages. The officials will explain the farmers on to what crops would be cultivated in the Kharif season, about government schemes and subsidies. (NSS)
