Job Description:

Responsible for line management of a team within the Project Support Unit.
Oversight of all aspects of the logistical support carried out by assigned team members ensuring appropriate levels of quality and timeliness are achieved.
Review of key documents and systems including project plans, study specific tracking reports.
Ensure activities are conducted in compliance with GCP, relevant SOP’s and regulatory requirements.
Responsible to ensure inspection readiness of all logistical/project support activities for trials supported by team.
Responsible to ensure highest levels of internal customer satisfaction and to take action to address any issues or concerns.
Monitor workload and assignments through use of corporate resource management tools.
Accountable for achievement of internal metrics including realization and utilization.
Lead recruitment and hiring process (in collaboration with corporate recruitment services) and manage on boarding and training for new members of the team.
Supervise, coach, and mentor staff
Oversee development of direct reports by setting goals, conducting performance reviews, evaluating and monitoring training needs, creating development plans, mentoring, and coaching

Desired Profile:

Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) level of qualification in life sciences, Medicine, Pharmacy, Nursing or related field equivalent preferred
Project Management qualification i.e. Prince II or PMP / equivalent an added advantage
5 years relevant clinical research experience with an understanding of clinical drug development and clinical trials operations.
2 years experience working in project management
Strong knowledge of Good Clinical Practice/ICH guidelines and other applicable regulatory requirements
Demonstrated aptitude for line management. Prior line management experience an advantage
Strong organizational skills.
Strong ability to manage time and work independently.
High proficiency with full MS Office Applications, including MS Project
Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal skills, both written and spoken, with an ability to inform, influence, convince, and persuade
High level of competence in English language
Ability to travel as necessary (approximately 5%)
