Manish Sisodia calls meeting of commissioners of 3 MCDs

News Delhi:Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia has called a meeting of commissioners of three municipal corporations tomorrow to discuss the issue of illegal mobile towers in the national capital.

A senior government official said that Union Urban Development Ministry had in March approved the bylaws for putting up mobile towers on buildings, but the city government had raised some concerns over the issue.

The bylaws, approved by the Ministry, have already been adopted by the DDA and New Delhi Municipal Council for implementation in areas and on land under their jurisdiction.

But, the Delhi government wants to make some amendments in the rules.

“The Delhi government wants to propose some changes in the existing rules following which the Deputy CM has called a meeting of commissioners of all three municipal corporations tomorrow,” the official said.

He further said that civic bodies are concerned agency which give permission to set up mobile towers on buildings in the capital.
