MANUU students end strike

Hyderabad: Mr. Mohammed Akmal Ali Khan, President of Maulana Azad National Urdu University Students’ Union announced that the students have ended their strike. He further told that the students had presented a memorandum of demands. VC has accepted these demands. University administration has now reduced admission fees from Rs. 500 to Rs. 300. Hostel fee has been reduced from Rs. 12500 to Rs. 7000. VC has promised to refer the matter to the Principal of Polytechnic for reducing the annual fees. Polytechnic fee was enhanced by Rs. 1150.

 

University administration has also agreed to provide separate accommodation for the students preparing for NET/JRF. The parents who come to the university for getting their children admitted in the university will be provided accommodation. The revaluation fees of the distance courses will also be reduced.

 

Mr. Akmal Ali Khan thanked the VC for accepting the demands of the students.
