Maoists tracking Chandrababu’s movements: AP DGP

Andhra Pradesh Director General of Police Sambasiva Rao on Saturday said that the state police had no information about the Maoists keeping a tab on the movements of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu during his New Delhi visits.

The DGP informed the media here that the state police the state had received an alert from the Centre about the threat to the CM a month ago. He said that the Delhi police had cited poor security at Andhra Bhavan in Delhi and warned that the Maoists could sneak in a the garb posing risk to the CM.

The police chief said that they can handle the CM’s security well and informed that they were reviewing the same.

It may be recalled that the police has been reviewing the CM’s security after the encounter at the Andhra Odisha Border that killed 24 Maoists in October. (INN)
