Mark Zuckerberg 2016 challenge- a Robot butler!

Melbourne: Mark Zuckerberg has revealed his personal challenge for 2016, which instead of improving Facebook is all about building an artificially intelligent assistant to help running his home life.

Zuckerberg, who commits to a new personal challenge every year, revealed his plan in a Facebook post on January 3 this year, reports news.com.au.

The FB founder and chief executive’s post further reads, “My personal challenge for 2016 is to build a simple AI to run my home and help me with my work. You can think of it kind of like Jarvis in Iron Man. I’m going to start by exploring what technology is already out there. Then I’ll start teaching it to understand my voice to control everything in our home- music, lights, temperature and so on.”

The 31-year-old American computer programmer and entrepreneur wants the artificially intelligent being to be able to have facial recognition installed so it can let his friends in.

So he further wrote, “I’ll teach it to let friends in by looking at their faces when they ring the doorbell. I’ll teach it to let me know if anything is going on in Max’s room that I need to check on when I’m not with her.”

Zuckerberg’s latest challenge comes after he said he would read two books every month, he learnt Mandarin and he strived to meet a new person every day.

While he regularly worked with different forms of technology at Facebook HQ, Zuckerberg said he plans to build on this version of AI at home. (ANI)
