IS may target Delhi and Rajasthan during Dussehra and Diwali

New Delhi: Delhi and Rajasthan have been put on high alert by Security Agencies over the possible terror attack by the Islamic State during Dussehra and Diwali.

Sources said that Delhi Police’s Intelligence Unit had forwarded the alert to the Special Cell of Delhi and Rajasthan Police.

In Delhi, intercepts suggest that the attack could be carried out by a single member of the outfit. However, with the possibility of SIMI members working closely with IS, an attack involving two to three men cannot be ruled out.

With the merger of Islamic State and AuT Delhi’s vulnerability has grown. It has also learnt that IS has been extensively using social media to radicalize youths.
