MBT Demands ban on Yogi Adityanath’s entry in Hyderabad

The Majlis Bachao Tahreek (MBT) has demanded ban on the entry of controversial BJP MP Yogi Adityanath into Telangana State.

MBT leader Amjed Ullah Khan has urged Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao to direct the Telangana State Police not to grant permission for Yogi Adityanath to address the meeting called “Hindu Chetana Sabha” scheduled to be held at NTR Stadium on September 13, ahead of Vinayaka Chaturthi, or in any parts of Telangana State. In a letter addressed to Hyderabad Police Commissioner M Mahender Reddy, he alleged that Adityanath was notorious for delivering hate speeches. He is facing charges of inciting communal tension in Gorakhpur, the Lok Sabha constituency which he represents. The controversial BJP MP has also delivered provocative speeches against Muslim community on several occasions in different parts of the country, he said.

Amjed Ullah Khan feared that Yogi Adityanath’s visit to the city might trigger communal tension and disturb the Law & Order situation. “There have been instances of communal violence in the past on the occasion of Vinayaka Chaturthi and therefore, steps should be taken to prevent recurrence of such incidents. The entire month of September is highly sensitive as many festivals are coinciding in the said month. Some communal elements are also trying to flare up communal tension in Telangana State in view of Hyderabad Liberation Day on September 17 and by stopping transportation of animals for the Eid Al Adha falling on September 24 and Ganesh immersion falling on September 27.

Therefore, the MBT leader said that the BJP MP should be denied permission to address any meetings or rallies in Hyderabad. (INN)
