McCullum challenges Kiwis to maintain winning momentum

Johannesburg: New Zealand skipper Brendon McCullum has called on his side to continue their winning form after taking an unassailable 1-0 lead in the two-match series against Sri Lanka.

New Zealand comprehensively defeated the touring Sri Lankan side by 122 runs v in the first Test at the University Oval in Dunedin.

McCullum said that the key for his side would be to maintain the present intensity in the second Test against Sri Lanka as well.

Reflecting on his side’s performance, the 34-year-old admitted that they had played good cricket, insisting that it was a crucial win, Sport24 reported.

McCullum also heaped praise on his side for displaying their most thorough all-round performance in the recent times.

Both sides will play against each other in the second Test at Seddon Park, Hamilton, starting from December 18.
