Hyderabadi based Shaikh Sadiq Ali is basically associated with journalism profession. He was associated with various Telugu dailies during the 30 years of his journalistic career. He shifted to Hyderabad from Khammam during his student life. He worked in Telugu dailies like Udayam and Andhra Jyoti.
He focussed his attention towards collecting literary and educative books. He has been organising book Mela for the past two years in Hyderabad and Vijayawada. Then he got an idea of reaching out to public on push cart. He decided to distribute books among poor students free of cost. He began his literary journey on push cart from Hyderabad and passing by Rangareddy, Nalgonda and Medak districts reached Warangal. He completed his 100-day journey during which he distributed hundreds f books among poor students studying in government schools and covered nearly 300 villages.
