MET forecasts clear weather, says ‘there won’t be dense fog’

New Delhi, Dec. 5 : The people of Delhi can heave a sigh of relief with the India Meteorological Department (MET) predicting that there would not be too much variance in temperature in the upcoming week.

“Right now, there is no moisture in the atmosphere so there won’t be dense fog. It is true that visibility has reached to 200 metres in Delhi. It had reached to 100 metres in some parts of U.P.,” MET Director B.P. Yadav told ANI today.

Yadav asserted that the temperature would decrease as the winter approaches.

“There would not be too much variance in temperature in the upcoming week. The minimum temperature in Delhi would remain around 10 degree centigrade. A little rainfall is expected around 10-11 December in the northern parts of the country. During the daytime, pollutants will be more and it can be seen as smog. Temperature is one of the contributing factors for fog. Moisture and wind speed are more important contributing factors to it,” he added. (ANI)
