Chief Principal Secretary of Municipal Administration department M G Gopal today conducted checks on road repair works in the city. The GHMC authorities have taken up road repair works and filling of potholes damaged during the recent rains.
The Principal secretary, accompanied by GHMC Commissioner B Janardhan Reddy, inspected road repair works at various places, including Begumpet, near Sangeet Theatre in Secunderabad, Chilkalguda, Sitafalmandai and Boudhanagar localities. They also inspected materials used in repair works and filling of potholes.
The GHMC Commissioner said at present temporary road repair work was taken up making roads usable. “We are planning to take up three types of repair works. Daily 1,000 potholes are being filled, he said.
Zonal Commissioner J Shankaraiah, CE Subhash Singh, SE Kishan, Deputy Commissioner Vijayaraju and others also participated in the inspection. (NSS)
