New Delhi, Sept 5 : The fashion extravaganza India Runway Week 2015 kicked off to a grand start with Mika Singh and actor Darshan Kumar turning showstoppers for fashioner Himmat Singh here.
The three-day fashion trade event commenced with a ‘Royal Heritage Collection’ of Himmat who is popular for his craftsmanship and cultural connection and creations of many firsts.
Designs of Himmat, who has created ensembles for Bollywood stars, such as Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Shilpa Shetty and Ajay Devgan, are a blend of the past and present, making it a perfect range for the young blue bloods of the new world.
The Winter Festive 2015 collection was followed by the display of creations by designers Nikheil, Rivendra and Twinkle, Anupam Kumar, Hetal Shah, Neetu Singh, Biba Kohli, Akshaya Wadhwa, Megha and Jigar, Aliahmed Shaikh and Ashfaque Ahmad.
The fifth edition of the fashion gala, which began on Friday and will continue till Sunday at Talkatora Stadium, will feature around 40 designers in combination of runway shows, presentations and special events.
