MIM begins ‘Operation Akarshan’ ahead of GHMC polls

Even as each party is trying to lay down a roadmap for the party in view of ensuing GHMC polls, the local political party is trying to net leaders of other political parties by undertaking ‘Operation Akarshan’ in old city. Following the steps of ruling TRS party, the local political party has also begun the poaching operation to strengthen the party in old city. Leaders of other political parties like Congress, TDP and MBT are being lured into party fold by assuring them nominated posts of the government.

For the first time public support to other parties is witnessed in old city. Feeling jittery over the situation, the local party leadership has begun including new faces in the party to allay public resentment. People have complaints that the majority of elected corporators have not paid attention towards resolving public problems during the past 5 years. Keeping in view the public resentment the party has decided to deprive, more than 40 percent ex-corporators, from party tickets, to improve party image and poaching operation has begun to thwart rising influence of other parties.
