MIM MBT battle moves to Mumbai

Hyderabad: Two rival parties of Hyderabad, All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) and Majlis Bachao Tahreek (MBT) will clash in the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) elections to be held on February 21.

The Owaisi brothers are leaving no stone unturned to make a dent in the civic polls in Mumbai with their speeches. AIMIM is contesting in 62 divisions out of the 227 divisions. Asaduddin Owaisi is promising development in the area while lamenting on lack of development in some areas.

AIMIM’s arch-rival MBT has also moved to Mumbai. Though MBT has not fielded any candidate it is campaigning for Samajwadi Party (SP) candidates.

While Asaduddin Owaisi has completed a round of campaigning in Mumbai and his younger brother Akbaruddin Owaisi is now concentrating on Mumbai, Amjad Ullah Khan of MBT is all set to undertake padyatra along with Abu Asim Azmi and hold public meetings in different wards of Mumbai.
