Minister announces job for hapless Shafi


The painful story of Mohammed Shafi who travelled in RTC bus with newborn in his arms and wife’s dead body on his shoulder spread like a wildfire. The saga of poverty and misery also moved irrigation minister T Harish Rao. He not only announced to provide job to Mohammed Shafi but fulfilled his promise within a week. Mohammed Shafi was called at secretariat and was provided job of security guard in market yard of Narayanpet, Mahboob Nagar district besides providing milk packets to the infant in the presence of Deputy Chief Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali, TRS MLA Srinivas Goud and MLC Sudhakar Reddy.

It is praiseworthy that Mr. Harish Rao expressed sympathy with the poor Muslim and provided him job within one week of the heartrending incident. The state minister narrated the tragic tale of Mohammed Shafi during the meeting of registration employees which brought tears into the eyes of all employees present in the meeting. Association representatives announced to deposit Rs. 1 lakh in the name of the infant.
