Minister for Tourism and Tribal Welfare A Chandulal today planted a sapling at Ravindra Bharati here on Thursday as part of Haritha Haram program.
Government Advisor K V Ramana Chary and Tourism secretary B Venkatesham also planted saplings at the site. Speaking on the occasion, the minister asked the people to protect environment by planting saplings at their houses. “One must try to protect the saplings to fight pollution and get good amount of rains”, the minister exhorted. Ramana Chary said it is the time to expand green cover to 33 per cent to get abundant rainfall for better future.
