Ministers travel in Metro Rail from Uppal to Mettuguda

Telangana Ministers Mahmood Ali, Nayani Narsimha Reddy, K T Ramarao, Talasani Srinivas Yadav, T Padmarao and L&T Company MD Gadgil on Friday traveled in the Metro Rail on Uppal-Mettuguda route along with commuters.

Earlier, the Hyderabad Metro Rail officials and L&T Company representatives welcomed the Ministers. The Ministers inspected the state-of-the-art technology in the Railway Station and got into the Metro bogie. They enquired with experts about the facilities in the train.

Speaking on the occasion, Talasani Srinivas Yadav said the Metro Rail works were taken up on par with the international standards. The journey time of the commuters will be greatly reduced with the Metro Rail introduction. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao was striving to provide Metro Rail services to the people at the earliest, he said, adding that the face of Hyderabad city will be changed completely with the Metro Rail facility.

KT Ramarao said the journey in the Metro Rail gave a good feeling. He said the aim of Metro Rail was to move commuters to their destinations very speedily. He said the State government was spending Rs 3,000 crore for the sake of Metro Rail. The Metro Rail works reached a final stage by overcoming the problems of land acquisition and other problems. (NSS)
