New Delhi: After being raped by her friend, a 16-year-old girl delivered a dead foetus at Delhi’s Keshav Puram Metro station.
According to Times of India reports, the girl was accompanied by the accused identified as Gulshan and one of his friends and was on way to a clinic to get an abortion done.
“The girl collapsed near the toilet of the Keshav Puram Metro station, she was bleeding profusely from her private parts,” police said.
“The medical staff at metro station discovered she had delivered an underdeveloped foetus, which was around 5-6 months old and born dead and was immediately rushed to nearby hospital,” police officials added.
The accused (Gulshan) and his friend have been detained and a case of trafficking and rape registered have been booked against them.
” I met Gulshan a few months ago, he raped me on the pretext of job and forced me into prostitution,” the girl said. “When I told him that I am pregnant, he decided to get the child aborted.”
