Khargone: In a tragic incident, a 10-year-old girl was mauled to death by a pack of stray dogs in the district, police said today.
Puja, daughter of Dinesh Vaskale of Adalpur village, had gone to fetch fodder for her goats last evening when a dozen stray dogs attacked her near her home under Gogaon police station area, district Additional Superintendent of Police Antar Singh Kanesh said.
By the time the onlookers rushed to save the girl, the dogs had bitten her to death, he said.
After post-mortem, the body was handed over to her family members, the ASP added.
