Minorities’ budget increased this year, Mahmood Ali responds to discussion in council

Hyderabad: Dy. CM of Telangana State, Mr. Mohammed Mahmood Ali told in Telangana Legislative Council that this year, budget for Minorities Dept. has been increased. TRS Govt. is committed to the Development of Minorities. Telangana Govt. under the stewardship of Mr. KCR is taking appropriate steps for the development of Minorities. Govt. established Telangana Study Circle to prepare minority candidates for various competitive examinations. For this purpose Rs. 70 crore has been allotted in the budget. Minorities Residential Schools have been started to remove educational backwardness. These are the unique schools in the country.

He further told that Govt. decided to setup Telangana Islamic Culture Center and a plot of 6 acres has been allotted for this. Telangana Govt. is also renovating Anees ul Ghuraba Orphanage for which Rs. 20 crore have been allotted.

Mr. Mahmood Ali informed that Govt. constituted Wakf Board. It is also implementing Shaadi Mubarak Scheme to help poor girls to perform their marriages. For this purpose, the amount has been increased from Rs. 51, 000 to Rs. 75, 000. He also assured that the balance amount of this year’s budget would be released in a couple of days.
