Minority Welfare Officer deletes 500 madaris from Madrasa Board web portal

Lucknow: Nearly 500 madaris have been deleted from Madrasa Board web portal in Seetapur district closed to state capital Lucknow leaving Management and teachers of the madrasa in a fix. A large number of teachers reached Lucknow on Thursday and protested against the move. They demanded that chief minister take note of the issue and act immediately.

Alleging that the district minority welfare officer demanded bribe they accused him of showing prejudice. The teachers also met state minority commission chairman Tanveer Hyder and narrated their woes and also submitted a memorandum to BJP state vice president Rakesh Kumar Trivedi.

President teachers union Aijaz Ahmed told that the said officer had demanded 50 thousand on the pretext of locking the data. When his demand was not met, he took retaliatory action and deleted the names from the web portal.
