Gulbarga: In yet another shocking incident that took place in Gulbarga, four miscreants tried to kill Shaikh Md. Noor, a 22-year-old youth by pouring petrol over him.
Shaik Md. Noor, S/o. Abdul Hameed Umar who is a resident of Bandukhwale Lakdi Mill Nehru Gunj Gulbarga was attacked by the miscreants in the morning around 9 a.m. They initially asked Shaik the address of ‘Inamdar’ school. Despite showing the address, miscreants insisted Shaik to accompany them. When he refused to come as he was getting late for work, they dragged him on their two-wheelers and later, set him ablaze by pouring petrol over him.
However, Shaik Md. Noor managed to reach ring road, from where people took him to the Govt. General Hospital Gulbarga. University Police Station registered a case and investigation is going on.

Shaik, in his statement, said that the miscreants were unknown to him but he can recognize them.
According to the report published in Deccan Digest, President of Popular Frond of India Gulbarga, Md. Mohsin condemned the attack and demanded strict action. Mohsin who is also maternal uncle of Shaik Md. Noor also assured cooperation with police.
Meanwhile, SP of Gulbarga, Mr. Shashi Kumar said that the incident is unfortunate and heinous and said that investigation team will be formed to catch the culprits as early as possible. However, he said that such incident won’t occur without any reason and said that police will talk to Noor, who is in shock, to find the details of the incident.
