A 15-year-old girl, who had been missing for the last one week, was found hanged from a tree in Baheri area, police said here today.
The body of the girl, who went missing on November 5, was found hanging from the tree last night, Additional Superintendent of Police Brijesh Srivastava said.
In a police complaint filed Monday last, the girl’s family had alleged that Mukesh Gangwar had kidnapped her and hanged the victim after murder, the ASP said.
A raid was conducted at Mukesh’s house but he was absconding, Srivastava said, adding the girl’s body has been sent for post-mortem.
