MLA’s car catches fire at Assembly

Panic prevailed at the highly secured Legislative Assembly premises of Andhra Pradesh in Hyderabad when Polavaram TDP MLA Mudiyam Srinivas’ car caught fire on Friday. However the MLA had a miraculous escape.

It is said that the MLA was returning home in his Swift after the end of the Friday’s session, when suddenly the car’s engine caught fire. The MLA quickly came out from the car and other MLAs, ministers, officials ran helter shelter anticipating bomb blast or any other terror attack.

The fire fighting team present there, doused the fire by sprinkling chemical. Police said that the car caught fire due to technical defect. The police registered the case and investigation is on to find out the exact cause of accident.
