A mother allegedly beat her 13-year-old son to death with a cricket bat following a domestic discord, police said on Thursday.
The woman, according to a complaint lodged with the Vishrantwadi police here, was enraged over the boy’s insistence to stay with his estranged father following divorce proceedings, police said.
After hitting the boy, identified as Chaitanya, the accused took him to hospital herself where he succumbed to multi-organ injuries yesterday.
The woman, who reportedly works in a private company, has been booked under section 302 (murder) of IPC, police said.
