Ghaziabad: A woman and her paramour were arrested for allegedly killing the woman’s seven-year-old daughter.
They alleged that the daughter, Ikra, was an obstacle to their relationship.
The duo was arrested yesterday from Loni railway station, when they were trying to flee, police said.
SHO Loni Avdhesh Pratap Singh said a missing complaint was already registered on March 12, by the mother to mislead the investigation.
On March 13, body of the minor girl was found stuffed in a gunny bag from a forlorn plot of land in Kanchan Park colony.
During investigation police smell some foul play in the role of Ikra’s mother and watched her activities.
The duo confessed that they smothered Ikra to death and stuffed the body in the bed and later threw it at lonely place.
