Mother offers kidney to son, Faiz-e-Aam trust donates 1 lakh

Faiz-e-Aam Trust at the behest of Siasat editor Mr. Zahed Ali Khan donated Rs. 1 lakh to Malka Begum, the mother who offered her kidney to her son to save latter’s life. Viewers broke into tears after watching the interview of this brave mother on Siasat.com. One among them was Mr. Iftekhar Husain Secretary and Treasurer Faiz-e-Aam Trust. Seeing the mother’s concern for her son, he donated Rs. 1 lakh. The amount was handed over to Mirza Azeem Baig and his elderly mother Malka Begun in the presence of Mr. Zahed Ali Khan at Siasat office.

While tears flowing from her eyes, Malka Begum narrated that her son Mirza Azeem Baig worked at Maharaja Pagdi on Rs. 10000 per month salary. He is the father of 2 daughters and a son. He has been suffering from kidney disease for the past 3 years. Both his kidneys have failed and doctors have advised kidney transplant. Presently he is on dialysis. Doctors told that the transplant would cost Rs. 8.3 lakh.

Siasat editor Mr. Zahed Ali Khan lauded Malka Begum that she offered to donate one of her kidneys to save her son. He salutes her for this gesture, he said.
