Mourinho quashes talk of Man Utd deal

London : Former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho, who has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United, has insisted he has not yet inked any deal to take over Louis Van Gaal.

According to goal.com, there were reports that the 53-year-old had already signed a pre-contract at Old Trafford, who were reportedly looking for a new manager after the club’s repeated poor performances and after the club’s early exit from the Champions League.

“I am always linked with jobs and in the summer I will have a job, but in this moment I can promise you I do not have a contract with any club,” the Portuguese said.

Admitting that he would prefer to remain in the Premier League, Mourinho, however, insisted that he would be open to any club or national team he comes across.

“I have to be honest, if possible I would prefer a club but I must analyse to see what is best for my career and to be back with everything I have,” the 53-year-old added.

Mourinho led the Stamford Bridge club to the Premier League glory in the 2014-15 season before being sacked last December. (ANI)
