Hyderabad: Mr. Zahid Ali Khan, Editor of Siasat Urdu Daily wrote a letter to PM Modi for release the scholarship amounts to be payable to Minorities, SCs and STs for pursuing post-matric, pre-matric and merit-cum-means scholarships. He also wrote similar letters to Union Minister of Minority Affairs, Dr. Najma Heptullah and HRD Minister, Ms. Smriti Irani.
In his letter, Mr. Zahid Ali Khan invited the attention of Central Govt. that even after the lapse of financial year, the amounts pertaining to scholarships for Minorities, SCs and STs have not been issued. Expressing his anxiety on the delay of releasing scholarships, Mr. Zahid Ali Khan addressed Mr. Modi and that it seems that there is a technical hurdle in the release of these scholarships. If necessary action is not taken, it will affect negatively on the student community. Not only this, but there will be a big question mark on the functioning of the Govt. led by NDA. If the release of scholarship amounts is delayed, the negative image of the people with regard to the functioning of the Govt. will be enhanced further.
