Johannesburg: Mrs. South Africa 2016, Candice Abrahams, has been recently crowned as Mrs. World 2016 in an event held in China.
Abrahams is the first South African who has managed to be crowned Mrs World, reports News24.com.
Before addressing the media for the first time, Mrs. World reached out to all her fans in a video posted on the official Mrs South Africa Facebook page.
In the video she was seen thanking her fans for their support. She said, “My heart is just so happy. I’m so excited to represent South Africa. I’m looking forward to coming home, seeing you all and spreading the love.”
Later, Abrahams posted on her own Facebook page that read, “I am so humbled and appreciative of all the wonderful messages on Facebook, Whatsapp and email. It’s means so much to me! I am honored to walk with purpose as your MRS WORLD.”
Abrahams was one of 36 of the world’s most beautiful women to take part in the pageant. (ANI)
