Mumbai: The Social Service Branch (SSB) of the Mumbai police acting on tip-off has busted a high-profile sex racket in Goregaon area.
India Today, reported that many high profile girls includind a ‘Savdhaan India” actress, a Marathi actress and a model were involved in the prostution business.
As per reports, an undercover cop posing as a ‘supplier’ get in touch with some people reportedly associated with the racket. Upon receiving a confirmation from the cop, a police team conducted a raid at a building near Film City and detained them.
“After getting the information that some girls were involved in sex racket , we laid a trap. We wanted to arrest main suppliers Saira and Asaraf alias Aman. When they came there, we arrested them along with the girls,” Amit Jalal, who busted the sex racket was reported as saying to OneIndia.
As per reports, the operatives of the racket used to share models and actors photographs with their clients, most were from the corporate world and supplied the models who used to charge Rs 50, 000 to 1 lakh from the clients.
The boss of the racket has not been arrested as yet. A case under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) has been registered, police said.
