Hyderabad: A musical program was held on Saturday, 1st August at 6 p.m. at Kannada Bhavan, Nayan Hall, Ravindra Kala Shetra Compound, J.C. Road, Bangaluru to commemorate Pandit Vithal Rao, famous Ghazal Singer of Hyderabad. This program was organized by Sangeet Sadhana Institute of Music. Ms. Jyothi Sharma (Ujjain), Ms. Swati Sree (Dehradun), Javeed Husain (Jaipur), S. Santosh Rao (Bhopal) presented their musical items. Pandit Ratanlal Sharma played harmonium and Gopal Rao Panwar, S. Deepak Rao and Durgesh Panwar played Tablas. Dr. Rabin Chowdhary, Mr. Shah Nawaz, Ms. Samiya Hameed, Mr. Madhukar Rao and Mr. Damoodhar were the guest of honour. This program was very successful and a large number of Ghazal lovers enjoyed it.
