Chandigarh: Assaulting minority community on pretext of various issues, the power seems to grow in strength as many cases are being reported throughout the nation with majority people, leaders agreeing to the violence these innocents are subjected to, a recent incident is reported from Haryana where a Muslim man was assaulted and forced to chant ‘Bharat Mata ki Jai’.
The incident reported from Haryana’s Hisar Town where Bajrang Dal activists assaulted Abid Hussain during a protest when he stepped out of the mosque.
The group was protesting against the Amarnath Terror attack when they came across Abid Hussain.
A resident of Rajiv Nagar, the victim has lodged a complaint with the police against 100-125 unidentified people.
“The complainant has not specified who the assailants were. We have intiated the process of lodging an FIR,” said an officer.
According to Haryana Muslim Kalyan Committee president Harphool Bhatti, the victim was slapped as he stepped out of the mosque and was forced to chant Bharat Maata ki Jai slogan.
A video of the incident also shows the youths forcing the victim to chant. He is also seen being slapped by one the mobs, sources reported.
