Muslim reservation case hearing in Supreme Court on 18th April – Salman Khursheed to plea on behalf of Shabbir

Hyderabad: Leader of Opposition in Telangana Legislative Council, Mr. Mohammed Ali Shabbir contacted the lawyers in New Delhi since the hearing of the Muslim reservation case is scheduled in Supreme Court for 18th April. Mr. Shabbir pleaded the Supreme Court to be a party of the case which was accepted. Former Union Law Minister, Mr. Salman Khursheed will plead the case in Supreme Court on behalf of Mr. Mohammed Ali Shabbir. Mr. Shabbir gave all the details and documents pertaining to the case and hoped that Supreme Court will deliver the positive judgement in favour of Muslims. He also mentioned that the campaign started by Siasat Urdu Daily is gainig support in the city and in all the districts of Telangana. Congress Party has also decided to support this movement. He mentioned that on the occasion of last hearing, Govt. pleaders were absent which speaks of the non-seriousness of TRS Govt. TRS Govt. appointed Advocate General who was against giving reservation to Muslims. He also mentioned that KCR has deviated from his election promise of providing 12% reservation to Muslims. The extension of the term of office of Sudheer Commission is indicative of the non-seriousness of TRS Govt. It seems that TRS Govt. wants to delay this issue till the next elections.
