Muslims are very poor, Govt. would take steps to remove their poverty: Chandrababu Naidu

Vijayawada: Chief Minister of AP Mr. N. Chandrababu Naidu told that the Muslims are very poor and educationally backward. Sachar Committee has highlighted the poverty of the Muslims. Govt. of AP ensure that the Muslims are developed in every field. It would take suitable steps to eradicate the poverty of the Muslims.

He was laying the foundation stone for the marriage hall which is estimated to be constructed with an expenditure of Rs. 10.50 crore. He laid the foundation stone in Vijayawada yesterday. He also told that the Muslims students would be encouraged in the field of education. He informed that instructions have been issued to Urdu Academy of AP to distribute books free to Muslim students.

Mr. Naidu paid rich tribute to former President of India, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam on the occasion of his first death anniversary and said that his services to the nation are unforgettable. He further told that Dr. Kalam was an exemplary personality.

He announced that Govt. of AP would provide Rs. 10 lakh to Muslim students who seek admissions in foreign universities. The function was attended by many MLAs and the other dignitaries.
