Generally governments are held responsible for under representation of Muslims in All India Civil Services and government departments but situation in Telangana is a little bit different. Here government has provided opportunities for minority students but officials of the Minority Welfare Department have no interest in development of minorities.
As usual this year also the government had decided to provide Civil Service Coaching for minorities but Minority Welfare officials wasted one year of minority students and didn’t begin the coaching till date, in spite of the fact that All India Services exams are scheduled in the 2nd week of August. Due to the negligence and slackness of Secretary Minority Welfare Department one year of 62 Muslim students who were selected for the Civil Services Coaching was wasted. These selected candidates are tired of making rounds of Minority Welfare Department and are now preparing for the exams without coaching.
